Last weekend, from 15 to 17 September 2023, the fourth edition of the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open took place at Holzhäusern Golf Park. With three consistent rounds of 66 strokes each, Alexandra Försterling from Berlin secured her first title on the Ladies European Tour (LET) at the fourth VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open on 17 September.

More than 100 of the world's best female golfers - including ten Swiss women - competed in Switzerland's biggest women's tournament for prize money totalling EUR 300,000. After three exciting days, 23-year-old Alexandra Försterling won the tournament and took home the €45,000 prize money and a hand-carved wooden cow trophy. The remainder of the prize money was divided among the players who made the cut after two rounds (top 65 and ties). International interest in the tournament was also high this year. Swiss television SRF broadcast live all three days of the tournament.

Support for young talent

VP Bank is the tournament's title sponsor. In the run-up to the tournament, it has already awarded wildcards to two young Swiss golfers, Sarah Uebelhart (amateur) and Victoria Monod (professional). In this way, it hopes to encourage young talent, particularly in women's golf in Switzerland.

Fifth edition of the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open in June 2024

In July 2022, VP Bank extended its commitment as title sponsor of Switzerland's only LET tournament by a further four years to 2026. Next year, the VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open will be held at the Migros Golfpark Holzhäusern in the week from 24 to 30 June 2024.
